The movie itself is beautiful, parts of it are quite good, parts of it are bad and messy, why is Doctor Kynes a woman?, and why they decided to have it suddenly end right in the middle of book 2, I have no idea. The definitive version of Dune is still the 2000 mini-series, I would say even the 1984 adaptation is better than this one. Oh, and Hans Zimmer's soundtrack is just terrible.

Very drawn-out in boring

Super slow, nothing actually happened. Felt like the entire movie was just a set up for the second installment. Storytelling left much to be desired. Didn’t feel like I was even transported to a new world. \r\rAs for the theatre experience, there were more people than seats. If there was a seat reservation system at the time tickets were claimed that would make it a more enjoyable experience.
