Deeply moving story. Brie Larson does justice to the roll of a woman adapting to, and surviving, a brutal childhood. Woody Harrelson seems to have a knack for perfectly playing characters you can have zero sympathy for. I took away how strong people can be in the worst of circumstances and to be honest with yourself that your past is what makes you the person you are today.

Excellent adaptation of the book. It is raw and honest and compelling. Great acting does he story justice.

This movie was beautifully acted by the cast of all ages. It is an interesting account of one woman's unusual upbringing that was nicely tied together with the past and "present" being intertwined. Moments of discomfort, happiness, heart-warming, and silliness kept the movie flowing while providing the audience some mystery to the story.
