Excellent film

The storyline drew you in knowing it’s a true story. The struggle of survival in a poverty stricken area was heartbreaking and left you emotionally raw as drug addiction and government law enforcement dirty deals are played out. I wish there was more of the music played from that era. Sad but entertaining drama of Detroit and its resilient residents.

It was an entertaining movie. I thought the dialogue was satisfactory. Had a lot of funny moments and serious ones too. I like the character of the little kid going to tell White Boy Rick to be a man and to go see his son. That little kid stole the movie. The bad thing about the movie is you were left with questions like what happened to the kid that shot White Boy Rick? How come he didn't get revenge? Why did his White Boy Rick's dad not hire a lawyer? Where was White Boy Rick's mom?

Great movie with humor and interest.
