I like that it's main star is Asian. The movie is diverse. Didn't like that Jeremy Lin was put down in the film because Jeremy Lin is a real Chinese NBA basketball player, not a fictitious one. Boogie's mother looks are too similar to the Fresh Off the Boat mother, Constance Wu. Movie doesn't explain why Alfred's nickname is Boogie. Rating for me is really between a 3 star and 4 star due to the storyline / characters needing more development.

Interesting movie about basketball, high school, family and culture. I enjoyed it. Good acting. The characters were believable.

Good young adult basketball movie that was a bit uneven in the editing.

There were a lot of parts in the movie that I could relate to, but since I don't play basketball, I couldn't completely follow the story.
