I thought the plot and characters were weak. The movie tries to be epic in every sense, but forgets that story and character mean more than visuals, world building and score.

Everything is great except the story doesn't excite you for 2.3hrs. \r\rWhatever happened to Josh Brolin's character? No resolve for him? Also putting him second to Issac was a poor casting choice. Probably it's the market but c'mon man. This guy deserves some respect.\r\rTent pole movies must FIRST work on the screenplay.

It was way too long. I kept thinking it would be done, but alas, it was not.

The action was great, the sound in the theater made it better; however the movie was to long and the story line was a bit confusing.
