I think for a lot of the jump scare scenes, they were already shared in the trailers. I notice that WB has a tendency to give key scenes away in trailers. I don't think that's a smart move because the movie, which is dependant on jump scare scenes, therefore is not as immersive of an experience. The story was weaker than some of the other movies in this series, and the direction was not as James W

I thought it was certainly very scary and had a good premise, but I didn't think it paid off. I thought the movie was also very slow.

I was disappointed by the back story of the nun. It was barely explained at all, and didn't make much sense. I did like how this movie was neatly tied into the conjuring, but overall I think it could have been much better.

The Conjuring universe is AMAZING, I loved all the previous films, but this one just didn't hit the mark. I left extremely disappointed. The scares were few and far between.
