Midnight Sun is a beautiful, emotional teen romance. Bella Thorne is bright, hilarious & completely charming. And the relationship between her character, Katie, and her father, endearingly played by Rob Riggle, is the cornerstone of the film.

I'm not a fan of (1) compulsive heterosexuality or (2) whitewashing. That said, it was much better than I expected it to be. I thought it was going to be some Nicholas Sparks-esque nonsense, and then it was actually this pretty deep, very VERY emotional and tragic and beautiful and lovely film. And in a very narrow sense, it was also inspiring! I write music, and this movie inspired me.
