I thought it was a great indie film

There were some parts that I didn’t understand- did he not know her from before? It almost came off like he was a new kid at the school that wasn’t aware of the tragedy.\r\r\rIt did a good job portrayed high school struggles and challenges of young love.

Its a great film that truly expresses the realities that "blam now you're an adult" rather accurately. I will say that from a parent viewpoint I was concerned with how clearly depressed the young girl was. I found myself torn in wanting her to be able to move on, but was angry about the grief she CLEARLY was wallowing in but his parents allowed her to wallow. I'm grateful they sent up a flag about now seeing from her that day but still, she truly needed more support. And as much as he wished to give it, as he too was another child adult, he couldn't know the appropriate ways to do so.

This coming of age story is raw and relatable. It deals with fascinations, destructive behaviors, friendships, and a painful honesty about life, love, grief, and one's self. It's a love story, yes, but without the traditional happy ending.\r\r“The greatest love story ever told doesn't have to be about two people who spent their whole lives together. It might be about a love that lasted two weeks or two months or two years, but burned brighter and hotter and more brilliantly than any other love before or after. Don't mourn a failed love; there is no such thing. All love is equal in the brain.”\r
