It's very well done, but also really lacking in character development and too slow

I felt the movie was too long, too slow and the background music was too loud. I feel it would appeal to fans of the source material, but not casual viewers like myself.

Dune is of the greatest SciFi novels ever written. It's ambitious, magnificent in scale and one of the greatest worlds ever created.\r\rThere was a reason no one attempted to recreate this masterpiece on Screen.\r\rHowever, thanks to better technology and the huge magnitude of movies of late, Dune The movie finally has been made a reality and made the impossible possible.

The movie dragged on for 2.5 hours only to present an opportunity for a sequel.
