It is a visually stunning movie. The storyline does a good job trying to explain to viewers the complicated backstory that leads up to the events in Dune. The dialog is meh. The one weak thing was Chamalet’s performance as Paul. His acting was surprisingly bad for a lead actor. Overall it reminds me a lot of David Lynch’s version of Dune, a visually beautiful but otherwise mediocre movie.

It was extremely loud and the movie was very long and slow. I wanted to like it, but it was hard.

It’s bit slow to start but in the later stages the pace picks up.

It is a great spectacle but feels like only half of a story, because it is.
