Payne’s best movie since Sideways. Maybe just as good.

This is a movie for any season and any era. The story layers nod upon nod to decades of film gems. Just as you think you are following a trope, it zig zags to explore a new angle. Loved the choices that conveyed how the characters' distance from each other. Want to see again!

The Holdovers is my kind of movie, one that has layered characters, humor but also a great deal of heart. Alexander Payne I feel is one of our best directors!

I really enjoyed the story. The actors were wonderful. A nice amount of humor and touching moments. Very enjoyable!
