The movie was so true to the animated version it isn't funny! The scenery was so beautiful that you'd visit and just imagine dragons could visit. The actors totally resembled their animated counterparts, down to the prosthetic leg!! And the dragons!!! I absolutely love Toothless and all the other dragons (except the bad one). Hiccup even says the line in this movie that was in the trialer but cut

Great movie I loved it and it’s the exact same way as the animated one

Having just watched the live action Lilo and Stitch, the voice acting was so much better in How to Train your dragon. With L&S, the actors they got kept taking me out of the movie because the voices did not match the characters. I did not have that problem with Dragons.

It was a fantastic live action remake, overall very true to the original animated movie. Loved all the nuanced additions and they nailed the new Toothless and Hiccup! The soul of the movie lives on, baring some minor losses (missing many of the funny quips and snarky comebacks, plus that important scene which was deleted). I’d rate it 8.5/10 and I can’t wait to see how the next one turns out!
