The movie is based on a true story. This creates a greater feeling of empathy for the real life people that were involved as opposed to actors in a fictional film. Everest is the first mountain climbing movie I have seen where the activity could be categorized as extreme mountain climbing and the drive and passion of climbers is impressive.

Good film, great visuals. Mixed ending. It's a true story, so it ends how it ends, but was a depressing and you left the theater feeling down.

It was an interesting story. The shots of Everest were beautiful. The 3D made the heights very terrifying. Made me feel like I was in the cold of the storm.

the movie was good but I think 3d wasn't necessary.
