Great overall message. Brings forth great emotion. The acting is top shelf. Cumberbatch and foster are amazing!

Great cast. Tahar Rahim in the lead role was superb. A compelling, intense, moving and provoking story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t believe it is based on a true story. Wow!

This should be a required watch for all Americans. The reality of what happened in Guantanamo is stomach-turning. I had heard bit and pieces of things like this happening on TV but it almost takes a hollywood movie to really visualize and understand that this actually happened to someone. It was really compelling for me to watch knowing it was based on a true story. The film was really well done... not overly dramatized or graphic but a enough info grasp the horror of the Mauritanian's situation (as well as his fellow captives that we did not see). Tahar Rahim made Mohamedou a relatable character but I really liked seeing the real Mohamedou at the end reunite with his friends and family and that he could still laugh and sing and be happy after all that had happened to him.

Excellent story that needed to be told. A true view into the inner workings of Gitmo and detainee treatment of the 9/11 era.
