Reminded me a lot of Apollo 13 and Castaway, except it was set on Mars, and Tom Hanks never showed up.

The film has a good movie plot. A little too long but the gravity of Mars portrayed by Matt Damon could use a little more improvement especially when he was walking outside the hub.

the noval is much better than the movie.

It had pretty good visuals and graphics. The premise was good. I guess I wanted actual science and realistic technical elements from a work of fiction.
