Technically, it's a brilliant film, but considering that it is only part one, it seems to be a lot of lead up without a payoff, and for a two and a half hour running time it lack in characterization.

Visually stunning but such a slow pace that I was getting sleepy.

if you like that kind of movie, I'd recommend it. It started out pretty slow and was really long! I will most likely see part 2 as I need to know what happens now! The acting is good. storyline, same old same old. someone wants power, sends the threat off to die, etc. But I feel it was made well.
