It was compelling to watch. The basic history seems accurate enough. I question whether the emotion portrayed was a bit over-the-top for scientists. The film portrayed both the positives and negatives of radiation research and development; but it may have left out the carbon neutral benefits of modern nuclear energy. I understand that would be a controversial sidetrack for the film, though. All in all, better than most.\r

Great movie - very informative. I love movies about strong, competent women and certainly was brilliant! I especially liked this film because it focused not only on her achievements but on her personal and professional challenges.

The acting was excellent. Rosamund Pike brought Marie Curie to life. The supporting actors as well were very memorable. \r\rI thought the scenes set in France were the best. This was a fascinating time in science and in history. It would have been nice to focus more on the science, WWI and pre WWII, the Solvay conference, etc.\r\rThe movie went off track when it flashed forward to Chernobyl, New Mexico, etc. I also thought too much time was spent on her affair. I have read several biographies of Marie and Pierre Curie and sticking to a purely historical setting would have been better.\r\r
