The themes were all of the place and the ending was confusing because the politics were weak throughout the rest of the film. Judi was stellar as usual.

Complex subject matter. Too many issues to cover in a 2 hour movie. Attempts at comic relief were out of place. I find no humor in a monarch who oppressed millions

I would have loved to view this film, and I had passes, thanks to Focus Features. Yet, poor logistical planning by the local marketing company, Allied, meant that 20-30 empty VIP seats were to remain empty for the screening. The room had a low capacity of 140, so up to 20% of unclaimed seats would stay unclaimed as dozens walked away. My option was to sit separated from my guest or take a sole, front-row neck acher seat? I've been to countless screenings and I'm aware of seating policies. Overbooking without freeing seats is poor marketing. Perhaps my union status justifies VIP seat status?
