There was a lot of time spent of character development of the two main characters, which made me feel, at first, the movie was moving too slowly, but it helped me later better understand the different relationships between the "royal family", Messala & Esther. The action was good & the chariot scene kept me on the edge of my seat. To experience & then bestow the forgiveness of Christ was great.

I enjoyed the film and am thankful for having had the opportunity to attend the screening. The 3D effects were awesome. I will recommend this movie to friends.

This is not our fathers Ben-Hur. The updated version is softer and more human than the original. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, the actors were wonderful. The chariot scene was a bit choppy and would like to have seen more of a panorama. Even though I know the story and have seen the Heston version, this one made me tear up . Well done Folks, very well done. This is time well spent.

It was a little plodding in the character development but well done. The Chariot race was brief and obviously limited by budget but so well done that one can only wish budget wasn't the issue. The story made a faith based point on forgiveness that was respectful of the faith, thought provoking and well presented culturally while not overwhelming the audience.
