I was a bit apprehensive regarding this "newer generation" adaptation but it was done well! Proving again this classic has made the test of time. Ensemble was strong, a decent family film albeit felt a bit lengthy. I'n being picky for sure, thumbs up all the way on this one!

Although it was confusing at first when the story line jumped back and forth, I finally got used to it. The actors were good and believable according to their character but they didn't look much different as the younger and/or older characters. The actor who played Laurie didn't seem any older when he came back from Europe married than he did when we first met him. The actress who played JO was excellent. Overall, a good adaption of the book.

The movie was good, however, it was hard to follow the sequence of events.

We really enjoyed the movie. The cast was terrific as well.
