For my money, one of the year's best films. The film is shot beautifully. It has great cinematography and is visually wonderful. The bond that forms between Keda (Kodi Smit-McPhee) and Alpha (a wolf named Chuck) starts rocky, but becomes the truest of kindred friendships. Honestly, the performance by Chuck as Alpha is a far better performance than some human ones I've seen recently. This is by far one of the best performances and roles for Smit-McPhee as well.
