An interesting depiction of the Riots and Algiers Motel events. The cast was excellent, as I hated many of the characters and had to remind myself they are just acting and I sympathized with others, wishing I could change their fate. It was upsetting that this was based on true events and the outcome was even more disappointing. It was a very informative film that left my emotions stirred up.

The movie is pretty intense and very well directed. It starts with the big picture on what is going in Detroit and zooms into one of the stories. However, it does not say what happens afterwards. It does not say anything about changes that occurred and how the riots stopped or when.

I got 5 mins in before I was in full sob mode. Not a tear down my cheek full sobing. And the movie dropps you right in there. You are a participant....1st person experience not someone watching this happen to someone else. I also had to hold my 16 year old nieces hand like full on death grip because it was so real so intense. Its visually poetic. Acting was amazing. Must see in theatere do not wait

Great film. It explores the events based on actual testimony from those who lived it. Very gripping and human, while showing the lack of humanity of some.
