I thought Questlove did an incredible job sorting through all the footage and adding in historical content/context and commentary. It’s shocking it took til now for this festival to come to our awareness, but I’m really glad I know about it now. I will do my research to learn more about all of it. Thank you for the tickets!

Great Music and Awesome Eye Opening Documentary!

Great soundtrack!! What a special find of the 50 year old color footage of the 1969 Harlem Cultural Music Festival!! The color footage brings this forgotten but important festival alive!! And the political comments are still relevant 52 years later. Interspersed interviews of performers and attendees still alive also help to bring this festival alive.
