I thought Limbo was excellent. It was funny and heart-wrenching, while beautifully showcasing the Scottish landscape.

I found the film visually stunning - the stark scenery and the placement of the figures, small within the harsh environment. I appreciated the way the characters developed at their own pace, & in own way. I was worried that Omar might not survive his isolation, the separation from his family, his loss of everything he thought he valued, & his uncertain future. Yet somehow, not only did he survive but he developed a deep appreciation for Farhad, & for small miracles such as the sumac that the shopkeeper acquired, Farhad's asylum letter & the North Lights. His concert on the oud felt triumphant.

Well done. Slow with little action but wonderful characters.

Great movie, slow in parts but worth it. The screening experience however was terrible.
