A little thin on plot and light on laughs. Nothing offensive - but not worth recommending.

Cute but slow and too long

I thought it was a fun holiday movie. It played out like a Hallmark movie and the story was cute. As much as I have loved Zooey Deschanel in tv roles, I didn't love her acting in this movie. It didn't really flow or feel real to me, whereas Charlie Cox' character felt real. I thought his acting was great in this film.

I enjoyed the movie, but the characters felt two-dimensional. Neither lead went through a great transformation, and the movie should've ended with her holding the kids and learning what roles she has left to choose from. The male lead changes little and magically becomes perfect again. There were some noteworthy lines, but most of the tropes have already been done, and it feels like the script was written with Artificial Intelligence, losing the nuance of what might have made this movie unique.
