One of the most subtle sci fi movies I have seen in a long time. Well done.

Ex Machina is a fantastic film. Alex Garland definitely proved that he's not just a great writer but also a great director, especially for a debut. I was on the edge of my seat almost the entire time, and when a movie can do that you know it's good. The only complaint I would have is that there are definitely slow parts. However it felt like the movie used those slow parts to build tension.
