It was a good film, just felt a little too much jumping back and forth from past to present. Did not have a true flow.

I thought John Travolta did a great job as Gotti. I knew little about him and his rise to crime "boss." And I knew nothing about his popularity among many New Yorkers as a "godfather" of the community keeping businesses healthy and open. The violence wasn't gratuitous but I did find the film didn't strike enough of a contradiction between the family man and loyal friend and the man who murdered.

John Travolta IS John Gotti, there is no denying! Gotti believed in family, that he made and that made him. A honest look into the crimes and accomplishments he made in his community and criminal career. This movie will open your eyes to the man who was Gotti and what he would do for those he loved.
