My boyfriend & I were totally engrossed from the start. This is probably one of the most beautiful and romantic films I have ever seen! From the relationships of the main characters to their surroundings, every scene is breathtaking! From time to time the audience cheered, sighed & cried with the characters showing a special level of engagement not easily attained by most movies. Kudos!!

I really loved it!

A very good interpretation of the classic work by Thomas Hardy. Less wordy than the book with a tighter focus upon the main characters. Highly recommended.
