A story that must be told however it was about 20 minutes too long. Finally I understand that they were starcrossed lovers however the behavior was inappropriate even for a movie like touching and holding hands when the mother died at it was a little much and I don't mind watching X-rated movie so that tells you something.

This is an interesting historical piece that highlights a little known aspect of WWI, the Armenian genocide by the Ottoman Turks. While generally well staged, the ending was a bit contrived and overly dramatic and that lost the file some stars in my view. It is relevant today as the same thing is happening to Christians today that happened 100 years ago in that region.

Beautiful cinematically with a compelling story.

I thought it was really well done; a story I never remembered hearing about. Very sad and intense movie, but the acting was very good.
