Good not great movie. Kinda similar to Apollo 13 but less engaging. A very grounded science fiction drama that in the end doesn't reach greatness due to succumbing to conventional blockbuster movie tropes I've seen countless times before. Great acting anchored heavily by Matt Damon. A couple useless characters that could have been better served with more time. The 3-d and effects are nice.

This is a very enjoyable, well developed movie. Although it might be a bit long, the story requieres the telling. Great character development, beautiful visuals. An oscar nomination for Matt Damon.

Special effects were very good,but the premise was really "out there." (pun intended!) I think the film could be edited some as it seemed to drag on.
