Having been 12 when the original Jumanji came out and became one of my favorites, I was very skeptical of this movie at first. I figured it would be bad but get attention because of its name. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the film. Yes, it was predictable, but it had a whole new plot with its own humor. It could stand on its own without the well-known Jumanji name. I do wish the movie would have paid a bit more tribute to the original with more references than simply Alan Parrish though.

Entertaining. I went with my wife and three children. It was an advenrure that was predictable but fun.

Jumanji is hilarious!! Re-boots are often dumb, but this one is well done. The actors were spot on-especially Jack Black. He was hysterical!! The story line was cute and I loved how Nick Jonas’s character came back and everything was normal, but he remembered the kids (and named one after Bethany). Great ending!
