Very moving and beautiful.

This was a very interesting film that turned out a lot better than I had expected. It is tender, sexy, exciting but also rough, violent and gory. Gory totally took me by surprise, not always in a good way. A little slow to start, it takes the viewer on a leisurely ride into a strange love story with the bonus of two stories of great friendships. The special effects are fantastic!

The Shape of Water is a fantastic movie. An unusual plot but a lot of heart. Brilliant directing by Del Toro and a stellar performance from Sally Hawkins. Also loved the score and set design. Hope it wins many awards as it is well-deserving.
