It is not a copy of the original movie with some exceptions, which is a good thing. So because it is different movie with tones of the original one, it successfully manages to be original and as funny, if not funnier. It is funny because is silly and knows that it is silly; but keeps the action and excitement in a pace that allows the audience to enjoy the action without becoming overwhelm by it.

Jumanji: Into the Jungle is a fun ride with a great cast, laugh-out-loud moments, and a theme of finding your true self that feels genuine despite the movie’s humorous tone. It’s the rare soft-reboot sequel that avoids relying too heavily on nostalgia for the original, a wise move that allows this version to become its own adventure. 4/5 Stars

I enjoyed the movie immensely. I think it had the right amount of comedy without getting to out of hand. I also liked how they made the transition from the games played when the first Jumanji came out to this new one. Fun movie to wstch and you will not be disappointed.
