This was a visually stunning movie. I'm afraid of heights and I was gripping my seat during the aerial scenes. Jason Clarke was amazing. His character was a genuinely like able character. The supporting characters were great but towards the end it was hard to tell who was who. I don't think there was enough character development with some of the characters.

The visual effects were incredible. Watch it in IMAX 3D to really experience this movie. It You felt like you were there except you weren't cold. Mesmorizing visual effects, the story line was ok.

I could not get interested in the characters enough to care for their journey. I felt the deaths were not portrayed well enough. The climb was more of a fast/skipped part of the plot rather than showing the struggle and "pain" of it. Going from base camp to the other camps was glossed over. Nothing about any rescue attempts or the eventual deaths of those that did try. Average film.
