It was an ok movie. It felt like it dragged on. I also think the ugly song is going to give people complexes. Just the words in it, saying all these people are ugly for whatever.

It seems like a knock-off of Monster's inc. It lacked emotion.

There was a lot of singing. And the only song I can remember is the one where they are spelling the word "ugly". I felt like there was a strong message of imprefections make you ugly, but not a very good balance of being imperfect is ok. I left the movie thinking the characters knew they were ugly and accepted it. I would have personally liked to have seen a better flow throughout the movie. I adore Blake Shelton, but he just sounded like he was reading a script the whole time. And Kelly Clarkson's voice didn't seem to go with her character at all. It mostly reminded me of a Disney channel cartoon episode or a cheap Netflix movie.
