Saw the play and loved it. Think the film is very good, especially Leslie Odom's Sam Cooke. But I didn't like the person who played MalcolmX He didn't seem to have the gravitas required for the character.

This is a really good film with a powerful message. Kingsley Ben-Adir as Malcolm X was fantastic. I thought everyone did a great job in their role. It's one of those films where you can definitely imagine these things happening during that time period. Regina King makes and excellent directing debut. Great soundtrack as well.
