Cute furry characters with a great message of inclusion and acceptance of flawed individuals. Great songs!

Was excited to see this as Kelly Clarkson uses her talent. Going into the movie, I knew the plot but thought there would be more substance to it, but the storyline grew weird and focused too much about perfection/ugly that my nephew asked how to know who in our family fits each attribute. A good conversation to have, but the movie warped the message a bit. Enjoyed the musical factor of the movie and hope to se more of them.

I felt their was too much emphasis on being “ugly”. Some of the songs seemed more about covering up your ugliness than embracing your unique beautiful self. Also the “perfect” dolls showed multiple times of bullying. In the end the ugly doll did end up with her child, but I didn’t think the execution of the message was smooth.
