Incredible Cast. It was really good and will rave about it to those I know. Lots of twists and turns. Funny and really dark. Great ending.

This movie is a devastating indictment of our rape culture, where a destructive double standard still prevails. College-aged men who commit rape are considered "kids" and are protected by the legal system and universities. Women, on the other hand, are labeled as promiscuous and are blamed for drinking, even as men use drunkenness as an excuse for committing rape. Women's psyches are traumatized, their self-worth shredded, and often their academic ad career paths ruined. Emerald Fennell did a brilliant job writing and directing this movie. Carey Mulligan is outstanding as Cassie.

It was a refreshing take on modern feminism and the "can't look away" lengths one outcast will go to to fight the cruel, unfortunate realities that plague society. A great ride of a movie that doesn't let you go until it does! Thank you Focus Features for this screening, please do more opportunities like this with future releases!!! :)

EVERY YOUNG MAN NEEDS TO BE FORCED TO WATCH THIS MOVIE--because frankly, I doubt many would voluntarily--WHILE THEY ARE TEENAGERS. This film is important. Rarely does a film speak so truthfully. It says thing that don't get said. It's brutal, and it should be mandatory. I really hope it finds an audience.
