Great story& visuals just very slow and drawn out. Atleast 1hr of footage could have been cut as it just went so slow. WOold I go see pt 2 yes I wouldn't hesitate. I felt like it was all leading to pt 2 the entire time and was like this isn't needed just do a 20 min back story and move on.

It was a visually striking movie. It was interesting but we were lost the whole movie. Sometimes you couldn’t hear the actor speaking because of the music in the background. Too many elements that weren’t given the full story.

- too confusing, long, and “arthouse” for mainstream audiences\r- great sound design\r- action scenes were too short, sparse, and clean. the lack of blood made it hard to believe the violence\r- beginning of movie was my favorite. the gloomy, dark, and rainy atmosphere was nice. bordered on horror at times, which I loved.\r- 3rd act was my least favorite. it felt uneventful and anti-climactic.

Too many visions that were hard to follow/didn't follow the book. Way too many establishing shots and the overall pacing was far too slow.\r\rAdditionally, Jessica seemed like a weaker character that needed Paul to protect her and didn't show off any of her redeeming qualities from the book.\r\rAlso I wasn't sure the younger Harkonen was Feyd-Rautha or his older brother.
