It was perfect in how the moments of humor lifted the slightly tragic overtones. The film was funny and heartbreaking and worth owning on DVD to watch again and again. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl is a realistic and poignant look into the lives of those who are dealt the life altering card of cancer. The laughter, at times awkward, is comforting because one never knows if it will be the last

So funny, and also very sweet and sad. We kind of knew what to expect going in, but this far exceeded our expectations! Great movie!
