I found this movie to be a 2016 remake of the 80's Clash of the Titans. I found the acting lacking, the 3d effects overdone, the script lacking. The Egyptian gods were all white except Thoth, the god of wisdom who could not deduce the answer to the riddle was tomorrow and he was quite "flamboyant" in his behavior which was an an attempt to undercut his masculinity.

Where to start? I went in with very low expectations after seeing the trailers. The movie barely met those. The writing was bland, the effects were ok in parts, but down-right laughable in others (Geoffrey Rush's flaming old age make up looked like it was done by the first loser on Face Off). I'm just glad I didn't spend money to see this.

Nikolaj and Gerard Butler did a nice job and are handsome to watch. The 3D effects were disappointing and things did not come out of the screen. The story was bad. Too much CGI, too loud.

I am glad I didn't have to pay for it. I am a fan of most of the actors in the movie however, their acclaim could not save this movie. It felt as if the writer tried to cram a lot of content into about a 2 hour movie. The plot was all over the place and would have been better focusing on one tale instead of trying to have two going on simultaneously. I was expecting more from the movie.
