I really enjoyed it. I have read the book. I do wish that the writers stayed true to kings mini series if the shining which is closer to how the book ends, that the overlook boiler overheated then, not now. And that combining Stanley Kubrick shining at the end with all the ghosts becoming steam eaters was kinda ugggg fir me and us the inky down side.

Very long, but great movie. Creepy, emotional, and pays homage to the original while standing on its own as well. Superb acting and effects as well.
