The movie drags the true fact into, there is a funny moment although the movie is not a comedy. It is so sad to know the story for the White Boy Rick is such unfair as compared to those gangsters. Good movie to watch.

I loved someone decided to talk about the issue of people serving sentences that don’t match the crime! It shined a light on how messed up our criminal justice system is in this country.

The film seemed to portray a detailed description of what his life consisted of. Filled with emotions, rampant in the discovery of what underprivileged america goes through. a choice of drugs or guns. One is favoured because its "our constitutional right" but the other is just as dangerous. I never thought it would have been difficult to portray the role of loser-father. matthew mcconaughey does it very well.

A very good movie. I thought that it was well written. I was just very disappointed in the ending, but I guess it just goes to show that we have a serious problem in our criminal justice system.
