Great, but Scary Movie, with a little comedy thrown in.

Very suspenseful and kept you invested. Had lots of great one liner jokes and made you care about the kids safety. You wanted them to make it out. The character development was definitely present. You can tell the writers really wanted to make a great re-imagining of the original. Pennywise was terrifying. This movie keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Good parallel of the Stephen King book! The clown and effects were very creepy and there was a great combination of buddy/coming of age, horror and some comic relief. Liked the movie a lot. People in the audience were gasping, laughing etc at the right spots.
