A sad mess enlivened by a few good comic bits but not enough. Very disappointed. Stylish cinematography, some clever plot ideas, but a dismal failure. Depp needs to act and not chew the scenery.

Uncomfortable to be in a crowded theatre and no one's laughing at this comedy. Johnny Depp creates a character who is every bit as obnoxious and unwatchable as Jar Jar Banks.
