This movie was excellent!!!! It was beyond excellent. Joseph Fiennes came from another perspective which was the one of a unbeliever and from one of the soldiers who killed Jesus. OMG! I have never cried in a movie before and this movie told a story so beautiful. Thank you for the creation of this film!

Wonderful film ! Superb casting. This perspective is not covered in scripture, however the film is faithful to the biblical and historical information we do have. Peter Firth and Joseph Fiennes turn in top rate performances, and it was a joy to see the actor who plays 'Malfoy Jr.' in Harry Potter films all grown up and showing up brilliantly as an ambitious Roman. Watch what Chiaphas does when he enters the tomb of Christ.

Nicely written and directed. The actors and actresses did really well and the movie kept my attention from start to finish. I also liked that even though the solemnity of the biblical situation was addressed throughout the movie and we all knew how it would end, there were still some funny parts.

Followed the written word for the most part.
