The 2021 Dune does what the 1984 Dune couldn't do, which is allow the reader to be more immersed in the stories behind the families and Houses of the Dune universe. Timothée Chalamet's acting is great and he plays Peter Atreides perfectly. I am excited for what might evolve in this Universe.

Visuals, sfx, visual flow--amazing. Music/audio background--too heavy--it overwhelmed or distracted from the flow of the narrative on multiple occasions. Plot management/reveals, etc. Excellent. Dialogue, most good, but a few total clunkers in dialogue or delivery--e.g.--"Good lucks" as Paul, Jessica, and Liet separate into the tunnels. Replication of feel of book--EXCELLENT.

Very enjoyable movie. Scenery was very interesting to watch. Will recommend to friends. The only reason I gave it a 4* was it was almost painfully loud at times.

Other then the repeated visions of Zendaya or spoilers for the sequels of showing characters or fights that haven’t happen yet, the movie is enjoyable and some scenes have a nostalgic feeling of the 80s
