The story, characters, and acting were fantastic, but the editing, score, and pacing seemed so generic and boring that it really dragged the movie down. In my opinion the movie needed to be much more stylized and unique in its presentation to work best.

Freaky, but not scary.

"Bad Times at the El Royale" isn't for the faint of heart. I'd actually consider it to be one of the most morbid, sick and twisted films I've ever seen. But as a mystery/thriller, it does a fantastic job and leaves you on the edge of your seat the entire time, so in that regard, it does exactly what it sets out to do—with a plethora of solid performances from its all-star cast, to boot.

It was different. It keep you on the edge of your seat after the first violent action scene. it was unique with it style. It captivated your interest in the movie because it was hard to predict what was going to happen next. Their were a good variety in the cast of actors too. Maybe the could have made the film a little shorter/kinda of long.
