This movie was good! The characters are not only believable but “real”. Taylor Takahashi gives the audience a different perspective of a “growing up poor” and trying to help his family while trying to find himself. \rSupporting cast members were also great at helping Boogie see things when he was blinded by fear, anger.\rWith the accompanying soundtrack, this movie is good for anyone who has a dream and the fortitude to pursue it. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed watching Boogie. The plight of the immigrant son to do better is an American dream felt by many minorities. Boogie's struggle to be true to himself while honoring his roots was heartfelt.\r\rThe acting was well done by all of the main characters. The tension between Boogie, his dream, his family's dream, and walking the thin line of trying to please everyone made for a good plot. \r\rThe cinematography was a little dark but the acting and music made up for that flaw. Thought it was a good story. Just would have liked to see if he did go overseas and play or if he could have possibly played on the scholarship

It's a good film to represent the times we are in!
