The story of RBG's early career, leading up to the landmark decision that paved the way to overturn legislation that permitted sex/gender discrimination, is compelling. Unfortunately, the film rarely rises above the level of a made-for-TV movie. Direction is heavy-handed and overly obvious, ditto the accompanying soundtrack.The actors in the principal roles (Felicity Jones and Arnie Hammer) do what they can with a feebly written script. Jones comes off as earnest, at least; Hammer seems miscast, owing to his pretty boy looks. See the documentary instead!

Good movie, will enjoy..

I'm a conservative, so wasn't sure how I'd like this movie, but was pleasantly surprised. The actress that played the lead did a really good job.

I am very interested in the topic. I would have liked less Hollywood stuff and more about the legal and professional process she went through.
